History of Wayak Group
At the beginning of 2018, there was the possibility of getting involved in the lobster tail and lobster head meat export market, due to the fact that in that season many factories closed their doors, because of economic problems and people dedicated to the fishing industry had few options to sell their products. One of the founding partners of the company, who was already involved in the exportation of marine products, saw the niche that was created with the closure of several of those exporting plants. He later met with other people to discuss the different opportunities and benefits of buying and exporting marine products. After several meetings between them, and with several potential clients, they decided to invest in the field and created Dalph’s Bay Seafood Company.
In mid-2018, the formation of Dalph’s Bay Seafood S. de R.L. is completed, work begins on the elaboration of contracts with customers and with an abroad broker. Over time, they located a processing plant with an agreement and a contract was signed to export their brands and more products defined by the broker. By the end of October 2018, the partners traveled to New York to meet with the Casile Inc Company, signing an employment contract, which by law was sealed and apostilled in the state of New York, providing security and credibility to the company
In the first season, 180,000 pounds of frozen lobster tail and 20,000 pounds of frozen lobster head meat were exported to the United States; in the second season about 240,000 pounds and approximately 40,000 lobster head meat were shipped. The company gradually grew so the partners had to meet more frequently with their broker. In one of the many meetings, he presented them to a client who is dedicated to a different kind of export business. The client was Nital Trading, with its headquarters in Miami. After holding several talks, he said he had several problems with his suppliers to provide him with frozen cassava, Hawaiian banana tostones, normal banana tostones and ripe banana tostones. He mentioned that his suppliers were from Costa Rica, but the high price of the workforce in that country and other problems caused the closure of many companies that were engaged in this.
The three founding partners met again and decided to found the company in August 2019 called BNP Exports S. de R.L. Which now has its own processing plant to produce frozen cassava, banana tostones, hawaiian banana tostones and ripe banana slices. The construction began in the month of November 2019 hoping to finish in January 2020. In additional conversations, the order has been extended to banana leaves, cardamom and other products, to be exported in the month of February 2020.
Having already formed the two companies, they decided to form the Wayak Group, knowing that it will definitely bring more opportunities as a reaction caused by the need of these two previous ones, Dalph's Bay Seafood and BNP Exports, to provided with inputs and raw products which will cause the group to expand.
We hope you are looking to become a part of that journey.
